The Archive image on which this painting is based is the oldest one in the series. To be honest, I chose it simply because there is so much to like about it: its lovely composition, the post-Victorian fashion, the interesting people and location, and the fact that it depicts a moment in Toronto’s history that seems almost too dreamily beautiful to have been real.

This work will be exhibited at my upcoming show at Urban Gallery in Toronto! The original painting, as well as a selection of signed and numbered prints will be available for sale. You can also buy a print right now by clicking the button below.
